SEED:

  In total, seed types encompass flowers, vegetables, turf grasses, and many others, as well as agricultural crops.  The latter is reviewed here.

Seed corn, for grain and silage:

  Pioneer and F.S./Growmark are the primary sources, with dozens of variety choices due to the selection requirements such as end use, length of growing season, and genetic modification features.

Forage crops, for hay or silage:

   Species include alfalfa varieties, birdsfoot trefoil, several species of clover, and many grasses.  Grasses include brome, orchard, canary, timothy, rye, and fescues.

Grain crops, for silage, grain or straw:

  Stocks seeds include oats, rye, buckwheat, soybeans, sudan-sorghum and sprint.  Wheat and barley  are not widely grown locally.
